New England Lobster Roll

  • large skillet

  • measuring cup

  • measuring spoon

  • brush for butter

  • microwave safe bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. uncooked lobster meat

  • 1/2 c. unsalted butter

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1/4 c. fresh chives, chopped

  • 3 tbsp. fresh dill, chopped

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

  • Lemon wedges

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Brioche hot dog buns, warmed or toasted

Directions

  1. Heat 2 tbsp. of butter in a large skillet at medium-low heat.

  2. Chop the lobster meat into whatever size chunks you prefer.

  3. Add the lobster meat and the minced garlic to the skillet.

  4. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the lobster is cooked through; bright pink and opaque.

  5. While the lobster meat is cooking, melt the remaining butter and brush on the brioche buns.

  6. Warm buns in the oven for a few minutes.

  7. In a large bowl, combine the cooked lobster with salt and pepper to taste, the remaining melted butter, chives, and dill.

  8. Add in lemon juice.

  9. Serve in brioche buns with a lemon wedge for spritzing.
